The Officer Collin Rose Memorial Foundation commissioned these coins for the K-9 handlers working this year's NFL draft event. Only 100 coins were made. The lions share of the coins were delivered to 17 teams working the event. They were part of a care package of items intended to bring some relief to the handler and dog. Our goal was for the handlers to have something special to commemorate the event and to be able to trade with fellow officers while protecting the public. The outer rim of the coin pays tribute to our fallen hero and the guest handlers that will be on hand to provide protection. The featured agencies are those that normally protect attendees at Ford Field for Detroit Lions home games.
This raffle made the most sense for us to continue our fundraising efforts and to provide a fair chance for our trusted supporters and police coin collectors alike who want to add this to their collection. There is no entry limit and the drawing takes place Sunday, April 28 at 8:00 p.m. EST. We will announce the winner on our Facebook page. Delivery will be coordinated privately.
